Give 'em what they want.

From the start, Dancy has been wanting to record, but the logistics of recording have stalled the process. First, Nancy's other band, Labor of Giants, took up a lot of her time while recording an EP, then Dan's other band, Johnny Mainstream, got busy recording their upcoming album...not to mention Dan's wife having a baby in the midst of it all.

There was also a lot of debate over how to record music...should Dancy pay for studio time or record everything themselves? How would the songs be arranged? Would other musicians be involved?

So many questions...

With Michael James Anderson's album release show right around the corner, we decided to just jump head first and start recording. Nancy has a cheap interface and Audacity on her computer, and a vague idea how to operate it all. We will have at least one song available for free download by the big show, and will continue to record and share as we go.

Perhaps in the future will allow us to get into a fancy studio and record a full-length album. Until then, we're giving the fans what they've been asking for. Hope you all like it!

oh, the morning

Good morning Dancy Blog viewers,

We are eleven days away from our full band show at the Main Pub (Manchester, CT).  We are going to be back by the Labor of Giants and are very excited about the whole night.  Andy Wakeman, a Connecticut singer-songwriter is opening the night with a full-band line-up.  michael James anderson, backed by The Dirty Twang, is up next celebrating the official release of his "Left of the Dial" album.  Dancy will close out the night with our styling.  Hope to see ALL four of you there.

There is capacity for 200 at the bar, so please feel free to share this with your friends and do not feel the need to keep this show a secret.  The night is shaping up to be full of friends, family, fancy things, fun food and friendly faces.

Here you are, happy Tuesday.
